"We don't do Music Just As A Hobby We Get Paid For It"
"I rep Louisville, Ky (Da Ville) til the day I Die" Plainly put, Heron Loves his state, his people, the atmosphere of the South. Heron began to write verses in the late 90's and the positive feedback he received from different people gave him confidence to keep pursuing a career as a rapper
Over the past 12 years, Heron has perfected his writing to deliver flawless rhyming with the unique voice and perspective of a South, a region that desperately needs a voice to paint a portrait of the local lifestyle. Kentucky possesses the qualities of being urban and rural simultaneously. His music is very street, but his brand of hip-hop brings a different flavor than the typical media portrayal of rap music. Like he says on his track I’m Brand New, he is homegrown in the groves, hands ready to throw. His verses may sound like tough talk, but he is a rapper with burning charisma that will back up every syllable he puts in his music.
In his CD, Heron Da Plumber, Heron’s hunger is heard as he says in his own words "I speak about real issues that'll make your momma wipe her face with tissues". He does not hold back the truth as he addresses the reality of people losing their family due to the system. His second single entitled, Money Walk has gained mass popularity throughout Louisville, Kentucky, he and his label mates, GL Recordz LLC, have used their past hustlin strategies to independently, with now distribution, sell over 1000 units in Louisville, Ky alone, Heron keeps his audience wanting more and features more tracks that tell the true story about everyday life with something everyone can relate to.
He is currently working on his next single Call Me which will be released in the second quarter of 2011 and is equally, as powerful and positive as his other single’s. Heron currently works with childhood friend, Producer/Engineer, and fellow friends from Louisville, Ky.
His major influences include 2Pac, Paster Troy, Bun B, Young Jeezy and Gucci. Heron has opened up for Yong Jeezy, Lil Webbie, Afroman, Slim Thug, and performed at Club Tailgaters and Club Vegas. He has done some ghostwriting in the industry..
